NO OTHER COATING COMES CLOSE

A truck with "MACH-10" on the front, positioned on a platform labeled "MACH-10 CERAMIC COATING," with a pouring bottle above, symbolizing ceramic coating application.

That 1 Detailer uses MACH-10, a multi-layerable, clear, liquid nano-ceramic coating developed by aerospace engineers. Our ceramic coating is designed to protect your factory clear coat, to provide a protective shield against the elements, and to keep your vehicle looking new always.

To maximize the effects of your ceramic coating and to ensure your investment is long-lasting, a few basic maintenance steps should be taken. With simple care, your coating will reward you for years to come.

Understanding Your Coating Investment

Your MACH-10 ceramic coating provides excellent protection and performance, but let's be honest - it's not maintenance-free. For the best results and to preserve its protective qualities and hydrophobic properties, you should wipe down your vehicle every two weeks using approved methods. Consistent maintenance is what keeps your coating performing at its peak and protects your investment.

But we get it - life happens. Work gets crazy, family takes priority, or you just don't have the time for perfect maintenance. That's exactly why your warranty includes the Annual Maintenance Service for $150. This service acts as your safety net when regular maintenance gets forgotten, bringing your coating back to like-new condition and keeping your warranty protection active.

Your maintenance program has three parts: a critical 3-4 day cure period right after application, regular bi-weekly cleaning when you can manage it, and the annual warranty service that ensures your investment stays protected even when life gets in the way. Understanding that proper maintenance produces the best results - while knowing you're protected if things go awry - is key to getting the most from your MACH-10 investment.

Critical First 3-4 Days (Cure Period)

This period is crucial for your coating's long-term performance. The coating continues hardening during this time and needs special care:

Avoid:

  • Parking under trees (sap, pollen, debris)

  • Washing or abrading the surface

  • Allowing contaminants (bird droppings, water spots, sap) to sit in the sun

If contamination occurs: Remove bird droppings, water spots, or tree sap immediately using a damp microfiber towel.

Water management: Rain is no problem following application of your MACH-10 Ceramic Coating. If the car gets wet, we simply suggest you inspect all surfaces and remove any waterspots with a damp microfiber towel.

Ongoing Maintenance (After Cure Period)

Recommended: Clean every two weeks for optimal performance, but we understand this isn't always realistic.

When regular maintenance is skipped, you might notice:

  • Water spots forming from sprinklers or rain

  • Reduced water beading and hydrophobic performance

  • Road grime and environmental buildup

  • Slightly diminished gloss

These changes are normal and are completely addressed during your annual service.

Approved Cleaning Methods

Primary Method: MACH-10 Maintenance Spray applied one panel at a time, wiped with clean microfiber towels using straight-line motions, followed by a second clean towel for streak-free finish (see top of page for details on MACH-10 Maintenance Spray).

Alternative Methods: High-quality rinseless wash products or pH-neutral car wash soaps using the two-bucket method.

Touchless Car Washes: Acceptable when no spray wax or sealant options are selected.

Strictly Prohibited (Will Void Warranty)

These methods will damage your coating and void warranty coverage:

  • Brush-style automatic car washes

  • Household detergents or dish soap

  • Abrasive cleaners, acids, or harsh chemicals

  • Bug and tar removers or solvent-based products

  • Polishing or paint correction without written authorization

Product Applications That Void Warranty:

  • Waxes, sealants, or additional ceramic coatings applied over MACH-10

  • These make it impossible to evaluate coating performance for warranty claims

Environmental Protection

Water Spot Prevention: Never let water air-dry on the surface. Use clean microfiber towels to dab remaining water droplets immediately after the car gets wet.

Immediate Contaminant Removal:

  • Bird droppings: Remove immediately - contain acid that can permanently etch the surface within hours

  • Tree sap: Remove fresh sap with MACH-10 Maintenance Spray and gentle wiping

  • Road salt/industrial fallout: Remove as soon as possible to prevent bonding

Proper Drying: Always use high-quality, clean microfiber towels with dabbing motions, never dragging across the surface. Dry in shade when possible.

Annual Warranty Service - Your "Reset Button"

Required for ALL warranty packages (including Lifetime) - $150

What's included:

  • Clay bar treatment to remove embedded contaminants

  • Water spot removal and coating refresh

  • Plastic trim restoration

This service is designed for real life. Even if you haven't been perfect with maintenance throughout the year, this service restores your coating to like-new condition and keeps your warranty active.

Critical: This service must be completed within 30 days of each anniversary date. Missing this service permanently voids your warranty coverage.

Third-Party Detailer Requirements

If using another detailer, you must provide written instructions:

  • No polishing, compounding, or paint correction

  • No waxes, sealants, or protective coatings

  • Use only pH-neutral soaps and approved methods

  • No abrasive products or methods

You're responsible for ensuring they follow these requirements. Damage from third-party services voids warranty coverage.

What to Expect Between Annual Services

Your coating is designed to make car care easier, not perfect. Between annual services, some environmental effects are normal:

Normal wear that gets addressed annually:

  • Light water spotting from sprinklers or rain

  • Gradual reduction in hydrophobic performance

  • Environmental contamination buildup

  • General dulling from exposure

Not normal (contact us immediately):

  • Coating peeling or flaking

  • Complete loss of hydrophobic properties

  • Severe staining or discoloration

Real-World Performance

The coating provides excellent protection, but it works best when you can maintain it regularly. When life gets busy and maintenance gets forgotten, the annual service ensures your investment stays protected.

Think of it this way: Regular maintenance keeps the coating at peak performance, but the annual service is your guarantee that even when you're not perfect, your coating will continue protecting your vehicle.
