Maintaining Your MACH-10
Ceramic Coating
Congratulations on Your MACH-10 Ceramic Coating!
Here's what you need to know to keep it performing at its best. MACH-10 is low maintenance — not no maintenance. Your vehicle won't retain that fresh-off-the-lot look if you neglect it, but keeping it clean is easier than you think. To maintain your coatings performance, it should be cleaned every 2 weeks. You can clean your car like you clean your countertops.
How to Maintain Your MACH-10 Ceramic Coating
Spray your maintenance spray solution (1–2 capfuls per spray bottle of water) directly onto one panel at a time.
Wipe with a clean microfiber towel using straight-line motions. Do not apply pressure.
Follow with a second clean, dry microfiber towel for a streak-free finish.
Repeat panel by panel.
Always use light pressure. The coating does the work — you don't need to scrub.
If your vehicle is excessively dirty (caked mud, heavy debris), spray your maintenance solution over the dirty areas first to encapsulate the debris, then rinse with a hose. Follow with normal maintenance instructions.
Car Washes + Waxes
Touchless and brushless car washes are great. Feel free to use these.
Contact/mechanical drive-throughs with spinning brushes or cloth strips are not — avoid these entirely.
When using an automated wash, always decline spray wax, sealant, or protective coating add-ons. These products layer over your ceramic coating and reduce its hydrophobic performance. For the same reason, avoid applying any wax or sealant to the vehicle yourself.
Annual Detail Service
Your warranty includes a yearly detail service with That1Detailer ($150, mobile at your home or office). This is your coating's yearly reset: a full exterior decontamination, clay bar treatment, trim restoration, and wheel cleaning, plus a fresh TopCoat for Lifetime package holders. It must be completed within 30 days of each anniversary date to keep your warranty active.
Many customers book this service as frequently as they'd like — if you'd rather leave the maintenance to us, we're happy to take care of it. Just reach out to schedule.
Additional Notes
Contaminants: MACH-10 does not prevent water spots from forming. Wipe them away promptly with your maintenance spray. The same goes for bird droppings, tree sap, and road salt. The faster you act, the easier it is. Left in the sun, water spots can become permanent.
Waxes & Sealants: Do not apply waxes, sealants, or any additional protective coatings over MACH-10. These products coat over the ceramic layer and directly interfere with its hydrophobic and self-cleaning performance — the water-beading effect you paid for.
Other Products: Avoid household detergents, abrasive cleaners, and solvent-based products. These damage the coating and void your warranty.
Other detailers: If someone else is working on your vehicle, make sure they know — no polishing, no waxes or sealants, pH-neutral products only. You're responsible for ensuring they follow these guidelines.
First 3–4 Days: Cure Period
Right after application, your coating needs time to fully harden. During this window:
Do not wash or abrade the surface.
Avoid parking under trees.
Remove any bird droppings, sap, or water spots immediately — don't let them sit.
Rain is fine. If the vehicle gets wet, just wipe away any water spots with a damp microfiber towel. After 3–4 days, you're good to go.
